Matcha Tea Ceremony & Morning Meditation
Matcha Ceremony and Morning Meditation
Monday, November 4th, 2019, 10am-noon
In this workshop, wellness expert Lisa Mueller will welcome guests with a short introduction to the history of matcha tea and the different areas it’s cultivated. She will talk about the traditional harvesting and grinding methods and how you can distinguish a bad / cheap quality matcha from a high-end ceremonial grade one. She will demonstrate how to prepare a pure matcha and how to make a matcha latte at home while explaining all the health benefits, ingredients and milk / sweetener options. And of course, everyone will get to try the magical drink.
We will finish the workshop with a mindfulness meditation and some tips on how to integrate the ceremony & new routines into your daily life! Every participant receives a matcha sample to take home and the recipe for the matcha latte. Handmade ceramic matcha bowls designed for this event by Mt. Washington Pottery will be available for purchase.
This event will be held in the garden at the Woodhaven Sanctuary nestled in the hills of Beachwood Canyon. This holistic space is centered around mindfulness, creativity, community, raising consciousness and uplifting well-being.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a sheepskin, yoga mat or something comfortable to sit on.
Location & parking details will be given upon sign up.
